The Science of Love
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Know Science!
A Talk by Dr. Rosemarie Perry, Ph.D.
Falling in love is a profound experience driven by chemical activity. Come listen to Dr. Perry discuss what happens in the brain when we fall in love.
Dr. Rosemarie Perry is a developmental psychobiologist at New York University and Vice President of Know Science. Rosemarie holds a B.S. degree from the University of Delaware in Neuroscience and a Ph.D. from New York University School of Medicine in Physiology and Neuroscience. As a Ph.D. student, she worked in the lab of Dr. Regina Sullivan, studying the neurobiology of attachment. She is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the NYU Neuroscience and Education Lab (run by Dr. Clancy Blair and Dr. Cybele Raver), where her research explores parent-infant attachment, and how poverty affects attachment and child development.
