From the #MeToo movement, to continued racialized violence, to endless mass shootings, to transphobia, homophobia, & xenophobia- humans are constantly faced with rapid cultural changes. But how can science help humanity? How can science promote tolerance and improve lives while eliminating dangerous essentialist thinking? Science For Social Change is a show that looks at important social issues through multiple scientific lenses and incorporates lived experiences and performance.
Our inaugural show focuses on race–from a biological, anthropological, sociological, and an activist/rapper’s perspective. With this show we hope to show how science can help transform our ideology, decisions, promote tolerance, and improve our overall lives all while entertaining the living f*ck out of you!
Featuring Agustin Fuentes and more! Hosted by Malcolm Barrett and Natalia Reagan.
