Valentina Kozlova 40th Anniversary Celebration of Her Defection From the Soviet Union POSTPONED

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition celebrates two special events in 2020: the 10th Anniversary of the Competition and the 40th Anniversary of Kozlova’s defection, with Leonid Kozlov, from the Soviet Union.  The then-married couple were principal dancers with the Bolshoi Ballet when they defected while the Company was in Los Angeles on a U.S. tour.  Leonid will come from his home in Aruba to reunite on stage with Valentina, and there will also be performances by Valentina and past VKIBC medalists Brooklyn Mack, Clement Guillaume, Justin Valentine, and more.  (The Competition rounds will be held March 16, 17, and 18.  Daily schedules vary, so please visit the website for specifics: www.vkibc.org)
