Selected works by second-year MFA candidates from Pratt Institute’s Fine Arts program curated by Kalia Brooks What you learn while you’re here is the fourth installment of the Pratt Institute School of Fine Art curated MFA exhibition. The show includes work from fifteen selected 2nd year MFA candidates. These students are working in a range of media that incorporates painting, installation, video, performance and mechanical sculpture. The work on view in this show exemplifies the productive effort of MFA students as they use the space of art school to expand the tenacity of their practice. – Kalia Brooks, an independent curator and exhibitions director at the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA).
