F. Scott Fitzgerald: From Paradise to Party Lights

Charles Scribner III will offer a personal perspective on F. Scott Fitzgerald and his iconic novel, The Great Gatsby, published in 1925 by Charles Scribner’s Sons. As a sophomore at Princeton, this Charles – fifth generation of publishers – settled down for an evening train ride with a silver flask and a copy of The Diamond as Big as the Ritz. Four decades later, he offers – sans flask – an evening reflection on his long attachment to the last of the Romantic novelists.
