Jim Gardner, son of notable amateur mathematician Martin Gardner, will host a conversation about the human side of his father. Known for his books and columns on math games, and The Annotated Alice, a collection of the mathematical riddles, references and wordplay in Carroll’s books, Gardner is a famous figure in mathematics. At this talk, his son will reflect on childhood and his memories of his father. $10 admission; registration required.
