An Intiate Evening With Levern “The Entertainer” Williams

Come join us at Symphony Space as we transform your evening to when the sweet sounds of jazz balladeers was the order of the day.

Levern Williams, featuring songs from the great Nate King Cole, Johnny Hartman and Lou Rawls. Levern, affectionately known as Levern Williams the Entertainer, is a versatile performing artist and Jazz stylist.

Levern’s performance repertoire includes appearances at: La Mama’s , Symphony Space (Peter Jay Sharp & Leonard Nimoy Theaters), Cleopatra’s Needle and Londel’s Restaurant and Super Club. He has toured internationally with stops in Western Africa, Paris, France, South America, México, Panamá and Brazil.

Mr. Williams will be accompanied by the incomparable Roger Lent Trio. Roger Lent is a trumpet and piano player living in Manhattan. He has performed professionally for over 20 years with many great jazz and classical ensembles. He works regularly with his piano trio and with the Uptown Brass Quintet.

Special Appearance by saxophonist Nat Dixon, current pastor of St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, jazz performances included a period which he toured the world and played shows with other prominent musicians such a Sam Rivers, Reuben Wilson and Kenny Kirkland.

This entertaining evening is hosted by WBGO 88.3FM’s very own Sheila Anderson.
