Mystical Tu B’Shevat Seder with the Carlebach Shul

Join us for this amazing daylong mini-conference that combines academic excellence, text study, and transformational experience. This year, the famous Talmudic story of the four rabbis who entered the garden is our gateway into an exploration of early kabbalistic writings referred to as the merkavah or hekhalot literature, and into both the origins of Jewish mysticism and the path of the mystic. By uncovering the enduring aspects of this story in our tradition, from the meaning ascribed to the “garden” to the character of some of the rabbis that are mentioned, we will catch glimpses of the inner light that sparkles throughout Jewish lore and observance.
