Vivian Gornick, author of Fierce Attachments, presents her newest book—a memoir in which she explores the rhythms, chance encounters and ever-changing friendships of urban life that forge the sensibility of a fiercely independent woman. Writer Rochelle Gurstein joins Gornick in conversation.
