What People Need Most to Know!

A thrilling production about Aesthetic Realism, the philosophy founded by poet and critic Eli Siegel.  It will feature his 1952 talk “Aesthetic Realism Looks at things: Discontent,” in which he said, and this is so relevant to today: “At the present time, there is more conscious discontent than perhaps at any other time in the world’s history.  When people realize this, they will have to say, for their own protection: ‘We’ve got to have people contented in this world, or there will be danger.’”  Also on this presentation will be poet Karen Van Outryve speaking on “Power and Grace in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.”  She says, “The way violin and cello assert themselves and yield to each other can make a person listening to Swan Lake believe more in the existence of true love.”  And there will be much more!
