In his latest book, Robert Douglas-Fairhurst, Magdalen College, University of Oxford, illuminates the friendship between Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) and Alice Liddell, the child for whom he invented the Alice stories. Douglas-Fairhurst examines how this relationship stirred Carroll’s imagination and influenced the creation of Wonderland.
