Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Marian Anderson’s groundbreaking Met debut with a special screening of the Metropolitan Opera Guild’s probing 75-minute documentary about this great artist. This film features archival footage of Anderson in performance and interviews, as well as commentary by Martina Arroyo, James DePreist, Denyce Graves, Roberta Peters, Leontyne Price, Shirley Verrett and Jane White. After the screening, the film’s narrator and producer, Martina Arroyo and Paul Gruber, will discuss this remarkable woman. Please note that student pricing is available to full-time students with valid identification. This session will be held in the Opera Learning Center, located on the 6th Floor of the Samuel B. and David Rose Building at Lincoln Center, 65th St. between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
