He is widely recognized as one of the world’s most influential chefs. René Redzepi is head chef of Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, where he creates his inventive take on Nordic cuisine with a distinctive emphasis on regional specialties. He is widely recognized as one of the world’s most influential chefs and Noma has taken the number one spot in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Padma Lakshmi is known internationally as an actress, food expert, model and award-winning author, and has recently wrapped her tenth season as host of Bravo’s Emmy award-winning “Top Chef.” Known for her East meets West taste and aesthetic from her cooking as well as fine jewelry designs, she recently launched her first collection of dinnerware and stemware at Bloomingdale’s department stores.
In 2009, she co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America and is highly involved in the women’s health organization, having made great strides to bring awareness of this largely unknown disease that affects 10% of all women to the masses. She helped launch the first research center in the country for gynopathology as a joint effort between Harvard and MIT Medical School, giving the keynote address at its inception.
