Artist Talk & Reading: Rackstraw Downes

Artist and author Rackstraw Downes will read from his new book Nature and Art are Physical: Writings on Art, 1967-2008.

Downes was the recipient of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship in 2009. His work has been represented in major collections throughout the U.S., including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, among others.

He is represented by Betty Cuningham Gallery. Cohen splits his time between New York City and Presidio in Texas.

All evening lectures at the New York Studio School are free and open to the public.
