Maura Pfefferman is the matriarch of a deliciously neurotic Angelino clan whose collective adventures (but mostly misadventures) have entranced vast swaths of the video-streaming public.

Jill Soloway, acclaimed comedian, playwright, writer, and director was raised in a “somewhat normalish, upper middle class Jewish household.” Then, when she was well into her 40s, her parent came out as transgender.
