Co-editors JP Howard and Amber Atiya invite you to celebrate the publication of Sinister Wisdom Issue 107 Black Lesbians–We Are the Revolution! There will be a featured contributors reading, showcasing of artwork from this issue, a Q & A with contributors and co-editors and a book signing. Light snacks/beverages will be served. This issue and this inaugural NYC launch event celebrates the lives, words, art work and power of black lesbians. This powerful issue was inspired by black lesbian poet, activist and feminist Pat Parker, who once said “The day all the different parts of me can come along, we would have what I would call a revolution.” This issue is a revolution of words and celebrates and uplifts the unique, powerful and diverse voices and art work of black lesbian/black queer-identified womyn.
