How can we understand the roots of irrational fear and hatred toward Islam and Muslim communities? Join us for the New York release of Khaled A. Beydoun’s American Islamophobia: Understanding the Roots and Rise of Fear. In his new book, Beydoun, a leading scholar on critical race theory, offers a comprehensive portrayal of Islamophobia, Muslim America, and the history of anti-Muslim bigotry. He is joined by Zaheer Ali, Oral Historian at Brooklyn Historical Society and director of the Muslims in Brooklyn project. Followed by a signing in our shop.
Free with museum general admission, but please RSVP.
