Climate Change Reading Group

The New York Public Library, together with Melville House, is hosting a monthly series for the New York City community to read the Climate Report, published in 2018 by the U.S. Global Change Research Program, and discuss its findings and implications.

For our inaugural meeting,  Todd “Tif” Fernandez of 350NYC will kick off a discussion of the Climate Report and environmental activism in New York City, past and present.  Afterward, attendees can view selections from the Library’s environmental archival collections and see how present-day activism is tied to a rich historical context.
