Join Girls Write Now in celebrating Day of the Girl and honoring our 2019 Agents of Change, who are making headlines and empowering women across all industries including publishing, entertainment, beauty/lifestyle and finance, at our Agents of Change Awards on October 10th! 

We are pleased to present our honorary chairs, Patrick Shields, Head of US Corporate Banking at RBC and Mustafa Topiwalla, Managing Director, Corporate Banking at RBC. Our honorees include Christine Ball, the Senior VP and Publisher of Dutton, Putnam, and Berkely; Judith Curr, President and Publisher of the HarperOne Group, HarperCollins. Alina Roytberg, the Co-founder of Fresh and Robin Thede, the Executive Producer, Writer and Star of HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show.

The event will be hosted at the Diane von Furstenberg showroom and will be followed by a reception, including hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and gift bags with products from female-led brands Thinx and twelveNYC.

Girls Write Now is New York’s premier creative writing and mentorship organization for teen girls, pairing underserved young women with professional women writers as lifelong mentors and role models. Through one-to-one mentoring, writing and technology workshops, and leadership, college and career preparation, and cutting-edge professional development opportunities, we inspire women to share their craft and empower girls to find their voices and tell their stories.
