A theatrical conversation with Hollywood’s most iconic costume designer, presented by The National Arts Club.
Film and fashion historian Kimberly Truhler presents a conversation with Hollywood’s most iconic costume designer Edith Head—with a little help from actress Susan Claassen.
Truhler sits down with Head (played by Claassen) to discuss her incredible career during the Golden Age of Hollywood, focusing on the years she spent at Paramount working with some of the most stylish stars, including Mae West, Dorothy Lamour, Barbara Stanwyck, Hedy Lamarr, Bette Davis, Gloria Swanson, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. Truhler is an author, guest speaker, and host of screening series on the History of Fashion in Film. Claassen has traveled the globe with her award-winning one-woman show A Conversation with Edith Head, including an acclaimed five-week run in London’s West End.
