Morgan Bookmarks: A Family Art Experience

Explore the museum from home with a live interactive tour. Each program will take a closer look at objects in the Morgan’s Collection Online, ranging from ancient to modern. Families will receive a creative prompt with each experience, for inspiration to write, read, or craft at home.

This program is designed for children and caregivers to enjoy together. Appropriate for children ages 6-14.

On Tuesday, July 21: “Beasts and Feasts” Part 2. In this second session, open the pages of the Morgan’s phenomenal illuminated manuscripts! This program will examine bestiaries, collections of real and imaginary animals, as well as books of hours, which explain seasonal and daily actions. Participants will explore how the books were created, and examine manuscripts from around the world, including cultures such as the Persian Empire and the Armenian kingdom of Cilicia.

Please note that the program will take place online. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to participate using Zoom. We ask that you download the app in advance for the best user experience.
