ADM Season Finale: Kegelstatt Trio and Trout Quintet
Join us at 4 PM on Sunday, May 19th for an afternoon of masterworks by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Schubert. Composed in 1786, Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” Trio features the imaginative instrumental combination of clarinet, viola, and piano, a grouping that no composer before Mozart had written for. Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet for piano, violin, viola, cello, and double bass was written in 1819 and includes five distinctive movements, most notably a fourth movement variations on his lied, “Die Forelle“. The performance will feature violinist Patti Kilroy, violist Irena McGuffee, bassist Per Björkling, and pianist HsinYi Tsai, as well as returning artists Mingzhe Wang, Rajan Kapoor, and Shinae Kim.
