American Museum of Natural History Presents: One Step Beyond

American Museum of Natural History continues One Step Beyond with DJ sets by DJ Quik and Stretch Armstrong.

Guests Party to the Sounds and Visuals of World-class Performers in the Rose Center for Earth and Space

The American Museum of Natural History continues the ninth season of One Step Beyond with DJ sets by DJ Quik and Stretch Armstrong. The event will take place in the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Hall of the Universe on Friday, April 8.

At this ongoing party series, guests dance in the Museum’s Rose Center for Earth and Space to the sounds of the biggest names in techno, electronica, hip-hop, and indie rock. Guests also enjoy the Hayden Big Bang Theater, located in the lower part of the Hayden Sphere, which features a dynamic multimedia presentation (narrated by acclaimed actor Liam Neeson) that takes visitors on a thrilling four-minute trip from Earth to the edge of the visible universe.

DJ Quik, born David Martin Blake in California, began his career in the late 1980s as a rapper and producer. His first album, Quik is the Name, was released in 1990, followed by eight more—his latest, The Midnight Life, was released in 2014. He has collaborated and contributed with artists such as Dr. Dre, 2Pac, El DeBarge, 50 Cent, and Rakim.
