How can a nearly extinct astrological tool influence our lives today? Aztec, Mayan, and other Mesoamerican astrologies center heavily around their own uniquely complex calendar systems. The Mayan calendar, in particular—based on the study of the stars but created before the invention of the telescope—has impressed modern scholars with its incredibly sophisticated structure, yet has only recently been brought up to date.
Maestro Manuel Rufino, an elder from the Taino tradition indigenous to the Caribbean, joins astrology series host astrologer A.T. Mann for a conversation on how the ancient and contemporary practices of Aztec, Mayan, and Mesoamerican astrology can help us to navigate the 2,000-year-long Aquarian age we currently find ourselves in.
The discussion will be followed by a Q&A and conclude with a guided visualization and meditation by Maestro Manuel Rufino.
If you would like to learn about Tibetan Buddhist astrology and divination, join the preshow gallery tour of the illuminated manuscript the White Beryl at 6:00 PM.
Presented in partnership with Golden Drum.
