Beatrix Potter was born on July 28, 1866 in Kensington, London. She went on to create a myriad of beloved children’s books, including The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Tale of Benjamin Bunny, and The Tailor of Gloucester. Join Marie Carter and Elizabeth Meggs for a special afternoon celebrating her works. Marie will present a short illustrated biography of Potter’s literary career, followed by a reading of one of Potter’s tales, and Elizabeth will present a discussion of the artistry of Beatrix Potter, followed by a reading of another of her tales. This entertaining and educational afternoon should appeal to children, parents, and fans of art, history, and literature.
