In addition, special guest vocalists include 2014 GRAMMY® Award nominee Cécile McLorin Salvant and the unparalleled Freddy Cole, whom writer Stanley Crouch refers to as a “swinging, romantic balladeer.” Soulful saxophonist Houston Person (best known for his work with Etta James) and virtuoso clarinetist Ken Peplowski join this ensemble for an unforgettable night of George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, Fats Waller, Eubie Blake, and other icons of American songwriting.
