Book Signing and Introduction to Meditation: Lama Surya Das

We’re used to thinking of meditation as a solitary activity that occurs solely in our own minds: by turning inward we strive to dissolve obstacles through self-inquiry and find peace through concentration, contemplation, and self-emptying. But inter-meditation (or co-meditation) is the other half of meditation: it’s inclusive and instead of getting rid of things we embrace people, feelings, and events.

In Make Me One with Everything: Buddhist Meditations to Awaken from the Illusion of Separation (May, 2015), one of the most learned and respected Buddhist teachers in the West—Lama Surya Das—invites us to experience this integration through traditional and original inter-meditation practices that allow us to see through the illusion of separation.
