Join legendary artist and bestselling author Françoise Gilot and art historian Sylvie Vautier for a luncheon to celebrate the English release of Vautier’s beautiful first book, Picasso / Picault, Picault / Picasso: A Magic Moment in Vallauris 1948-1953.
Vautier chronicles the incredible friendship between French potter Robert Picault and artist Pablo Picasso during the time they were both living and working in Vallauris. A longtime muse to Picasso, Gilot will share personal memories alongside previously unpublished photographs and documents from the book.
Over a gourmet lunch, the two writers will give you an intimate look into an idyllic moment of unbridled creativity between two 20th century giants.
