Then a walk through Brooklyn Heights, to discover its evolution from first New York suburb to quiet and civilized literary haven. Stops include the homes of W. H. Auden, Thomas Wolfe and Arthur Miller; the residence where Truman Capote wrote Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood; and sites associated with Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Walt Whitman, Harriet Beecher Stowe and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

Pre-registration for all tours is required at least 24 hrs in advance. Attendees will be emailed details of the tour—with specific meeting location and additional directions 24 hrs in advance of the tour. All tours happen rain or shine.
