China Transactions: A Conversation with Gary Parr of Lazard

Gary ParrHaving recently served as the lead advisor to CICC on the structuring and planning of their successful IPO in Hong Kong, Gary Parr will join us to discuss his numerous experiences working on China related transactions. In addition to his position as a Vice Chairman at Lazard, Mr. Parr is also a senior economic advisor to the mayor of the city of Qingdao. From September 2009 to February 2015, he was Chairman of the New York Philharmonic, where he initiated discussions with the city of Shanghai and the Shanghai conservatory, which ultimately led to a multi-year residency that is the first one for any western orchestra with China.
