In honor of the release of Confidence, or The Appearance of Confidence: The Best of The Believer Music Interviews, Strand is partnering with The Believer to bring you a series of music themed conversations.

The first in the series will feature music icon Laurie Anderson, a noted experimental musician and performer and longtime figure on the New York cultural scene and Amanda Stern, writer, editor and creator of the acclaimed Happy Endings Reading Series.

Just as Confidence collects the best conversations with musicians from The Believer–from Jack White on upholstery, to M.I.A. on the internet, to Björk on poetry–this new series aims to allow for open-ended, lively discussions between contemporary musicians and writers.
