Join ICP’s Managing Director of Programs, David Campany and Curatorial Coordinator Sara Ickow for a virtual in-gallery tour and presentation of #ICPConcerned: Global Images for Global Crisis, an evolving exhibition heading towards 1,000 images drawn from #ICPConcerned posts on Instagram made from the time New York City went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, through the thousands of Black Lives Matter demonstrations that have taken place since the murder of George Floyd, to now.
Campany will show the installation process, which includes an in-gallery printing station, as well as conduct a walk-through of the physical space before he and Ickow give a presentation of the photographs and accompanying audio guide.
With contributions from over sixty countries, #ICPConcerned: Global Images for Global Crisis, an evolving exhibition, draws from the tens of thousands of images being posted with the hashtag launched by ICP in March, inviting our global community to make and share images of their experiences. From COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter to the California fires and demonstrations against authoritarian regimes, #ICPConcerned will present 1000 images of our time, wrapping around ICP’s largest gallery space.
Reserve your timed entry ticket to see the show at ICP in person starting October 1.Buy tickets/get more info now
