The Jewish Week, in partnership with Hadassah’s Defining Zionism in the 21st Century, is proud to present “Defining Zionism: a Liberal Standpoint” with Aluf Benn, editor-in-chief of Haaretz. A veteran writer and editor, Benn has covered peace, war and politics and fought government secrecy and censorship for thirty years. He will appear in conversation with Linda Scherzer, a former Mideast correspondent for CNN and Israel Television who covered the first intifada, the Gulf War and the Mideast peace process. As Director of The Jewish Week’s Write On For Israel program, she is training top high school students to lead the pro-Israel community on college campuses.
