Pauli Murray: Imp, Crusader, Dude, Priest, a new exhibit at St. Paul’s Chapel (Broadway and Fulton Street) explores the life and legacy of the late human rights activist, historian, poet, teacher, attorney, priest and Episcopal saint.  The interactive exhibit explores her multifaceted identities – a great-granddaughter of an enslaved woman and the family that owned her, co-founder of the National Organization for Women, first African-American awarded a doctorate of law from Yale University and first African-American woman ordained as an Episcopal priest – and how she aspired to integrate them into a single life of purpose and transformation.
