Field Operations Outdoor Architecture: From The Highline and Beyond

When the Highline opened 15 years ago as the nation’s first elevated park, it was a pivotal moment in landscape architecture. Join Lisa Switkin, partner at Field Operations, the landscape architects who designed The Highline, as she explores outdoor architecture, environmental adaptation, and urban revitalization post-Covid. Field Operations’ work (exhibited internationally including at the Venice Biennale) includes China’s Taopu Central Park, the Berkely Space Center, NBC Universal, and (pictured) Tongva Park, featured in Barbie. A member of the board of the Urban Design Forum, Switkin is committed to improving cities through creative design and addressing issues like social equity. A recipient of the Rome Prize, Switkin speaks about landscape architecture at such venues as the Guggenheim. A Barbie film clip (and more) will be included in this visually stunning presentation by one of the top landscape architectural firms in the world.
