Drawing from family records and extensive archival research, historian Terry Alford provides a comprehensive portrait of this enigmatic figure whose life has been defined by his infamous act: the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

Terry Alford is the author of Fortune’s Fool: The Life of John Wilkes Booth and a founding board member of the Abraham Lincoln Institute in Washington, D.C.
