Gary Shteyngart – Little Failure Book Launch

Please note: This event takes place at St. Joseph’s Colle, Tuohy Auditorium (245 Clinton Ave.)

Greenlight partners with St. Joseph’s College to present the Brooklyn Voices series of lectures, forums, performances, and public discussion. The Brooklyn Voices series promotes and enhances the creative vitality of our home neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill by providing writers, artists, and intellectuals with a local forum in which to discuss and present their works.

After three acclaimed novels (The Russian Debutante’s Handbook, Absurdistan, and Super Sad True Love Story), as well as a record-breaking number of jacket blurbs, the New York Times bestseller and fan favorite Gary Shteyngart turns to memoir in a hilarious, candid, and deeply poignant account of his life so far. Little Failure is a serious exploration of what it means to be an immigrant, a grown-up, a son, an American — and a work of autobiographical comic genius, highly praised by fellow authors including Nathan Englander, Mary Karr, and Zadie Smith. From his childhood in Leningrad, USSR and Queens, New York, to his post-graduate years as a New Yorker with a psychoanalyst, a drinking problem, and a desire to depict the world in words, this is the most personal work yet from one of his generation’s most celebrated writers. Greenlight is honored to launch Shteyngart’s memoir into the world with this unique event at St. Joseph’s, which will include a reading and book signing.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Each ticket admits one and includes a copy of Little Failure at 15% off the cover price. All tickets are general admission.
