Gary Shteyngart Presents Lake Success

Hailed as “one of his generation’s most original and exhilarating writers” by the New York Times and as the “Chekhov-Roth-Apatow of Queens” by The Millions, Gary Shteyngart is a one-of-a-kind hilariously brilliant writer. Lake Success – his first novel in seven years – follows a Wall Street millionaire on the run when his dream of the perfect marriage, perfect son, and perfect life implodes and he escapes on a cross-country Greyhound bus trip to find his college sweetheart. Praised as an indelible, tragicomic mirror on contemporary American life by luminaries including Richard Ford, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Tom Perotta, Shteyngart’s biting, brilliant, emotionally resonant novel is one of the most anticipated books of the season. Shteyngart discusses his work with Angela Ledgerwood, creator of the beloved Lit Up podcast, at this event at St. Joseph’s College as part of the Brooklyn Voices series.

Each $30 ticket includes admission to the event, as well as a hardcover copy of Lake Success; books are distributed at the event. Gary Shteyngart will sign books following the discussion.
