Gods That Fail

Neil Postman wrote on a wide range of topics during his lifetime, and was widely considered one of America’s great prophets. In this class Lev Moscow will lead a discussion on Postman’s theory of education. We will read and debate some of Postman’s most provocative work, and try to understand his central argument about why the school system fails. It is in short: that we need new gods.
