Artist Daniel Brush will discuss his work in an informal conversation with MAD’s Chief Curator David MacFadden. Exploring the multitude of influences in Brush’s diverse body of work, this evening long conversation will delve into topics including Japanese Noh theater, ornamental turning, jazz, Balanchine, horological tools, and more.   Together Brush and MacFadden will reveal the obsessive research and meticulous techniques that have forged the works seen in the exhibition Daniel Brush: Blue Steel Gold Light.
