Stories of Regeneration from the Second Generation

Storytellers include Daniel Libeskind, architect; Joseph Berger, former New York Times reporter and author of Displaced Persons: Growing Up American After the Holocaust; Esther Perel, therapist and author; Sam Norich, publisher, Jewish Daily Forward; Museum Trustee Jack Kliger, chairman/CEO, British Heritage Magazine; Ruth Lichtenstein, publisher, Hamodia, founder/director Project Witness; and Eva Fogelman, psychologist, author, filmmaker, and co-director of the International Study of Organized Persecution of Children. Stephanie Butnick, senior editor, Tablet Magazine, will represent the third generation; Amichai Lau-Lavie, spiritual leader of Lab/Shul and founding director of Storahtelling, Inc., will emcee the event. Museum Chairman Bruce C. Ratner will offer welcoming remarks.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, join us for a live storytelling event as children of Holocaust survivors recollect what it was like to grow up in the shadow of the Shoah.
