The New New York Activists | Undocumented New Yorkers

In 1996, Congress passed several immigration laws, including the Illegal Immigration Reform & Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA), which facilitated the detention and deportation of immigrants and generated opposition from immigrants-rights activists. Join our panel of grassroots organizers and scholars to discuss how this highly debated and close-to-home issue has inspired one of the most significant activist movements of the twenty-first century, both in New York City and across the country.
