New York Scandia Symphony

The New York Scandia Symphony, under the baton of music director Dorrit Matson, presents “Under Northern Lights,” a concert of composers Carl Nielsen and Bernhard Crusell.  Each season, the New York Scandia Symphony revives and preserves the works of significant Northern European classical composers, some rarely heard or not readily available.   The April 11 concert with present Carl Nielsen’s Overture to Maskerade and his Symphony No. 5.   By Bernhard Crusell is his Clarinet Concerto Opus 5, with clarinetist Steven Hartman.
