New York Stories: Howard Milstein

On 9/11, lifelong New Yorker and real estate owner and builder Howard Milstein watched the destruction of the Twin Towers unfold on his television. Having played a key role in the original development of the World Trade Center site and the surrounding area in the 1970s, he immediately recognized the scale and devastation of the attacks. Milstein, now Co-Chairman, President & CEO of Emigrant Savings Bank, shares how he and others responded to the events of 9/11, from providing immediate relief to New Yorkers across the city to healing and rebuilding lower Manhattan over the last 17 years.
