The New York Times Podcast Club, Irl: “How to Be a Girl”

Born out of an informal brown-bag lunch discussion among New York Timescolleagues, the Podcast Club has morphed into a Facebook group and our live-event series. At this hour-long event, you’ll get an inside look at “How to Be a Girl,” a podcast about a Seattle-based single mom raising a young transgender daughter. Ms. Mack (the creator’s pseudonym, used to protect her daughter’s anonymity) will discuss the series with Times critic-at-large Amanda Hess.

Doors open an hour prior to the event when attendees can wind down with themed cocktails courtesy of WNYC’s resident mixologist or co-create audio at the “Confession Corner,” before settling in for the discussion.
