Preet Bharara was the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2009 to 2017. His office prosecuted cases involving everything from civil-rights violations to cybercrime, securities fraud, and terrorism. He was included in Time’s “100 Most Influential People” in 2012, and was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2000 to 2005. He is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia Law School, and is a distinguished scholar in residence at New York University School of Law.

Jeffrey Toobin is a staff writer at The New Yorker, a senior legal analyst for CNN, and the author of seven books, including “The Run of His Life,” which was the basis for last year’s FX miniseries about the O. J.
