Ninth Annual Barra Ó Donnabháin Lecture: Brian Ó Conchubhair

Profesoor Brian Ó Conchubhair will deliver the Ninth Annual Barra Ó Donnabháin Lecture on “Ó Chúirt an Mheán Oíche go Cré na Cille: Greann na Gaeilge,” or “The Midnight Courtto Graveyard Clay: Humor in Irish.”

Brian Ó Conchubhair is Associate Professor of Irish Language and Literature at Notre Dame, where he is a fellow in Notre Dame’s Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies.  His publications include “Gearrscéalta Ár Linne,” “Why Irish? Irish Language and Literature in Academia,” and “Fin de Siècle na Gaeilge: Darwin, an Athbheochan, agus smaointeoireacht na hEorpa.” His current research project deals with Irish-language modernism.
