Simon Critchley, one of today's leading contemporary philosophers and moderator of the popular New York Times philosophy series "The Stone," presents On Truth (and Lies), a new conversation series that encourages audiences to abandon their convictions at the door and explore the ambiguity of reality.

Is literature a true representation of our commonly shared world? The celebrated author of RemainderMen in Space, and C (shortlisted for the 2010 Man Booker Prize), Tom McCarthy joins Critchley to discuss truth and lies in literature, from the canonical works of Cervantes and Joyce to contemporary writings.
