Paintings About Buildings

For artists living in NYC, buildings form the visual environment. An artistic sensitivity to the environment calls up a desire to understand something of the elements of architectural appearances with their effects and moods. Various responses come out of the soul again after they have been taken in. Individualized inner pictures can resurface again outside as art.

Three artists—John Lloyd, Marc Kehoe, David Taulbee Anderson—will show their inner relation to the world of buildings. Landscape becomes cityscape or building scenes. All types of man-made structures in the city and countryside become the subject of artistic production. This show includes a large range of aspects of buildings and our personal relations to them.
