Pat & Jamie’s NYC | NY1’s Pat Kiernan and Jamie Stelter

NY1’s Pat Kiernan and Jamie Stelter, one of our favorite morning duos, bring their banter uptown this fall for a new series with special guests dishing on everything we love and love to hate about NYC.

They’ve worked side by side on NY1 for over five years, discussing life, weather and traffic in this crazy city we call home, but their repartee is always too brief—so we asked them to stage a live talk show!

Pat and Jamie’s 92Y series includes traditional guest segments, man-on-the-street videos, trivia giveaways, audience Q&As and music by the evening’s musical director Leslie Goshko. They’ll tackle the issues the average New Yorker faces every day: manspreading, subway pizza rats, the too-damn-high rent, Times Square tourists and the costumed characters who love them, and the words that strike fear into all our hearts: “It’s showtime!”

The first event in the series features former “Late Show with David Letterman” announcer Alan Kalter, Wall Street Journal and Fox Sports journalist Jason Gay and “Girls” star Alex Karpovsky.

Has New York become a Mets’ town thanks to their playoff run? Has Barclays beaten MSG as the best arena in the city? Pat and Jamie debate the joys and the agonies of loving New York teams with WSJ’s Jason Gay. Then Brooklyn-dwelling actor Alex Karpovsky, who plays Ray on HBO’s hit “Girls,” discusses working on the hit show, his NY subway pet peeves and whether he’d ever leave Greenpoint for LA. Famed longtime Letterman announcer Alan Kalter will talk life after late-night and tell his most memorable New York stories. Leslie Goshko, host of Sideshow Goshko Storytelling Series, and one-time performer in Hairspray on Broadway, will serve as musical director for the evening.

This event is the first of a series. Join us for the next installment on Nov 19, too!
